Organised by the Hong Kong Law Society, the Belt and Road: A catalyst for Connectivity, Convergence and Collaboration conference was held on 12 May 2017 in Hong Kong. The conference was a platform for international legal practitioners as well as leaders from business sectors to share their insights and inspirations on issue arising from the global economic vision of the Belt and Road initiative.
The one-day Conference started with a plenary session led by a panel of industry leaders followed by three concurrent breakout sessions in the afternoon. The Conference features practical topics including the advantages and risks associated with the use of tools in international trade, issues on tax, financing and insurance arising from cross border trade as well as dispute resolution practices in international transactions.
